hello again!!! I can really use some guidance and translation. April last year I had two lumps one of which was removed. I finally got my paperwork and looks like at one point my dr rated it at a birad5 but after the surgery came back benign. (Need help w understanding all of this). FINAL DIAGNOSIS:
Right breast, lumpectomy:
Radial scar and associated fibrocystic change including usual ductal
hyperplasia, sclerosing adenosis, apocrine metaplasia, cystic dilatation,
fibrosis, and microcalcifications in benign ducts.
Evidence of previous biopsy site also identified.
Negative for malignancy.

In my file as well they put down neoplasm of uncertain behavior of soft tissue Which I can find anything for So fast foward to two weeks ago n went for another mammogram n saw something on the left side Had an ultrasound that said
8 mm hypoechoic mass identified anteriorly in the lateral left breast
at approximately 3:00 location. This has mildly irregular margins and
is without enhanced through transmission. Sharp edge shadows are
noted on several images. This sonographic abnormality projects at the
level corresponds to the mass noted on recent mammograms. Again, the
mammographic abnormality is not confirmed on prior mammograms.

Impression:

Indeterminate 8 mm hypoechoic mass projecting at a level that
corresponds to the recently described mammographic abnormality.
Recommend proceeding to ultrasound-guided biopsy.

FINAL ASSESSMENT: BI-RADS 4: Suspicious findings. Immediate
follow-up.

and not sure what all this means If I knew I had a condition I would of ask more questions I thought I just had lumpy breast Help plz I'm going crazy thinking of all what it could be between benign conditions to cancer thanks m happy fourth Btw for some reason they made my biopsy apt in two weeks which is not helping lol

What that means was that your ultrasound showed something that wasn’t there before and that it had some of the hallmarks (hypoechoic, irregular margins) of breast cancer. BIRADS 4 means there’s a chance it could be malignant, but they can’t be sure unless it’s biopsied. Two things that should comfort you: my biopsy was 2 weeks after the ultrasound, and it hadn’t grown more than a couple mm. And remember: 80% (four out of five) biopsies of BIRADS 4 lesions turn out to be benign.

Thanks the wait is killing me. Guess no point in trying to figure it all out until I get it done. Thanks again.
