    I am just checking to see how you are all doing. I just read your note about hair being a little fuzzy, no eyelashes and no eyebrows... and I realized this is me now! I am at # 9 of Taxol this week. My last visit I had a chance to talk to my MO about the weight gain ( like she hasn't noticed it, right!?) ahahhah. She gave me a referral to dietitian and I found out my insulin level is skyrocketing ( together with the cholesterol level). I am now officially out of carbs and sugar - it's very difficult for me to eat without breads, pasta, rice and potatoes. Any suggestions to my boring meal? I will have to be creative until DEc 28 when I see my Endocrinologist again.

    I came to a conclusion that dealing with chemo is bigger than I thought. Exactly when I try to fix one problem ( BC) I find out it is causing another thing that it was not in question - or at least, wasn't a problem until now ( such as borderline of pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, possible neuropathy, metabolic syndrome, etc ) . Other than that, Taxol doesn't give me any SEs.... that is the part where I should be laughing for such ironic statement!

    I am counting down my chemo treatment ( 9 out of 12) ... I can't wait to say goodbye to 2016!

    Hi all!

    I had my last chemo treatment yesterday! I was so happy to ring the celebration of life bell! 16 rings, 1 for each chemo treatment I took. I have no eyelashes and peach fuzz on my head. I have a little bit of my eyebrows left and lost 15 lbs on Taxol. I think Taxol was harder on my body than the red devil. Taxol is mean, had to take neupogen injections after each treatment and ended up with 2 blood transfusions. But, I finally made it to the end!! Praise God! Now to decide on recon or no recon. I go to the cosmetic surgeon on 2/8 to discuss my options. Wish me luck and pray for guidance on which path to take :)

    yodez what is the red devil? I'm on Taxol finished second round. not all head hair gone but have peach fuzz too. so have the long & short of it. Please tell me your drug reactions. my blood count low now want a transfusion. wish there was another way. April
