Microcalcifications not seen in biopsy?

I had a stereotactic biopsy today and when they checked to make sure the microcalcifications were in the biopsy sample, they didn't see them. They confirmed that the callcifications were not in my breast. The doctor said it could mean they were layering and that's why she couldn't see them in the sample. Has anyone had that happen to them?
