The mystery of the throbbing lower back pain

Options

I'm nearly 7 years out from my initial diagnosis. During chemo I experienced throbbing lower back pain so severe it took my breath away. It would come and go though. It never lasted for more than 30-60 seconds at a time. To me it felt like labor pains. Sometimes it would shoot up my spine.

My oncologist always said it wasn't from chemo drugs. He insisted it must be a back issue. I had CT scans of my back. Nothing was wrong with my back.

That pain has plagued me ever since. I went through a period of maybe a year when it didn't happen very often. In the past several months though, it's back with a vengeance. It happens several times a day.

I keep doing internet searches in hopes of discovering what may be happening or how to make it stop. Recently I found a post where someone else had the same pain and took Nuelasta shots during chemo. I had that shot too.

I've had other bone/joint issues I've posted about before which I attribute to the AI post chemo. THIS throbbing lower back pain came on well before the AI though.

Also - during chemo I had excruciating bone pain but this is different than that.

Has anyone else experienced this side effect?
