Hair loss??

Hello everyone! It's been a year since my last chemo round. My hair grew back quite quickly, although the wrong color and slightly different texture. I stopped taking Tamoxifen in March after some complications. At around the end of April or maybe beginning of May, (I think...may have been before?) I noticed my hair was starting to fall out again. I have a lot of hair, but sure enough it's starting to show balding patches. Because of the aforementioned Tamoxifen issues I had to have a hysterectomy a few weeks ago, and I know that menopause can also contribute to hair loss, but this was happening before that.

Has anyone had this experience? My thyroid has been dead for many years, and my most recent test came back a little hyper after the hysterectomy. (added to which hair loss has never been one of my thyroid symptoms) I'm not anemic, so I'm not sure what else to think/do?

I lost about 50% of my hair during menopause. I am lucky it stopped and I haven't had problems since even taking AI drugs.

Hi Meow, Thanks for your response. I've heard of that happening during menopause! However, my hair grew back after chemopause, and then I technically just have started menopause since the surgery was a few weeks ago. Since this started before that, it seems unlikely to be the menopause....although I suppose that could make it worse now. I don't mind being bald so much, but I do mind not knowing why and whether it's going to be long term!
