Hi! Brand new and this is my first post! I feel like I fell down a hole and haven't hit bottom yet! Mammo found a lump the end of April so had a biopsy, diagnosed on May 18. My Internist then wanted a breast MRI. Waited for that and the results AND finally got to see the BS. The MRI showed more areas of concern so had to wait for a MRI assisted biopsy, one on each side! NEVER EVER doing that again! Now waiting for those results along with the results of a genetic test (sister and aunt). At this point, I just want to have them both taken off! I know, knee jerk reaction but really, don't know what to do! I have to wait for all the results but it's taking so long! Thought I would introduce myself because I will be reading this site everyday

Hi there. I know how hard the waiting can be. Just want to let you know there are many false positive on MRIs. I had 5 suspicious areas show up and only 1 out of 5 was malignant. Hang in there and good luck....

Thanks, dtad! I did read that about MRI results. My doc said my areas were worrisome enough that he thought there was a 30% chance of more cancer. So I am waiting and trying not to worry. Once the results are in I will have a better idea of what will happen. If all the results are good, I will have to decide between lumpectomy or mastectomy. How did u decide
