I received an email this morning from NP following me at the high risk clinic. I was told I wouldn't hear for a week. Today the day after going through that torture machine , she says nothing found. I was very happy to hear it and now onto next Mammogram already scheduled for November . Surveillance sucks .

Wishing all on here a good news day and praying for our sanity and safety

Happy for your good news. Did you have a breast MRI? My sister who is BRCA2 positive (I'm negative, but still got breast cancer!), had her first MRI a couple weeks ago and nothing was found, needless to say many happy tears. Wishing you a lifetime of clear images and good health.

    Happy for you, ddw!

I also had the same question: did you just have a MRI, and are having a mammo in November, or are you having Mammograms every 6 months? My concern is that mammos every 6 months is a lot of x-rays. An MRI doesn't have x-rays, plus it is a different "point of view" while still being excellent surveillance.

    Best wishes for clear scans!

thanks for good wishes. This was a relief to say the least .

I've sort of put in this surveillance program for myself. Which looks like yearly Mammogram and then the test I just has which is called a full breast ultrasound. I think it's pretty new machine . I haven't had an MRI. And in the middle of all of this I get breast exams at the high risk clinic .

I have ADH noted through presence of microcalcifications on Mammogram. This new US would not have picked that up so I think it's important to have a couple of imaging modalities alternating with each other . I have also been taking Evista since January.

If you want to know more about this new US I'll give you some details. I personally found it quite painful

Thanks so much for your support Frankie.

I seriously got enough with type 1 Diabetes. Both of these together are going to kill me for sure .

This every six month roller coaster is emotionally very difficult as we all know.

To everyone here: Hugs and more hugs
