Hi there, Ive had two LX's ( 2014/2015) and now when pms kicks in.. it pushes on the scar tissue and makes things feel painful ( more so than before). I know when I had knee surgery I had to rock my knee back and forth on the carpet to break up the scar tissue ..but not sure sure how to do that with my breasts. I know this wont be comfortable but does anyone have any tips or a site of how to do this?

thanks

Hi, I am looking for same answers and hoping my chiropractor can help. She helped me break the scar tissue after my knee surgery. I could not bend my knee 6 weeks after, so my surgeon wanted to remove the scar tissue surgically. I went to my chiro and she helped me break it up with metal instruments while bending the knee. Since these sessions were painful, I took some pain meds before I went. I visited with my chiro again just last week to have some adjustments done and she suggested she would help me with incisions and scar tissue again. As of now the incisions are still too painful for me to touch, we decided to wait few more weeks. In addition, soon I will be facing another surgery to remove "close margin" skin. Another reason to postpone the scar therapy. I hope you can find a chiro who is like mine and can help you. You can also call the surgeon to get some advice. There are some physical therapists who work with scar tissue as well. Best of luck and keep me posted if you find something we can do ourselves!

My Lymphedema Therapist helped me with my breast scar tissue - actually, I had a UMX no reconstruction and had scar tissue and cording. My advice would be see a Lymphedema Therapist as they are used to dealing with breasts.

I saw a Myofascial Release Massage Therapist who was also a Certified Lymphedema Specialist.

She was incredible. She reduced the fluid build-up I'd had for five months since BMX, allowing Lefty to finally settle in her pocket; she got rid of the Iron Bra pain and discomfort I'd had for months, AND she did Scar Tissue Mobilization on both my BMX scars and my drain tube scars.

I honestly wouldn't go to anyone who was not specifically trained to work with breast tissue.
