Study Suggests Action Required to Minimise Heart Failure in Breast Cancer Survivors

Despite the known toxic effects of chemotherapy on the heart, the majority of women undergoing breast cancer treatment are not getting the recommended follow-up heart scans, according to research presented at the British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) Conference in Manchester.

    Thanks for posting this...As a breast cancer patient while receiving AC Chemo, I had a heart attack. Then I had permanent valve damage from Herceptin. Thankfully, my MO was following me closely, and I was sent to a Cardiologist familiar with SEs of breast cancer treatment and heart damage.

    It is my passion to tell others - WATCH YOUR HEART...your doctors may not, but you must!
