Hi all. Has anyone participated in the proton radiation trial NCT01758445? What's the benefit of proton therapy over regular photon/electron radiation?

I'm also a little bit confused about the inclusion criteria for the study. After I contacted one of the study sites, they said that they would have to review my mother's surgical pathology to check eligibility. However, my mother received neoadjuvant treatment, so the surgical path won't be the same as the initial staging. Did anyone else face this problem? If you were able to join the study, what were the features of your cancer?

My mother was diagnosed with stage IIIa IDC on the right side. T3N1M0. Response to NAC TCHP has been very good. She is scheduled for a simple mastectomy in a couple of weeks.
