I had BMX with Goldilocks recon. It's a one-step recon that works best with large breasted women.

I have to tell you, my recovery has not been easy. I have had a lot of complications, but then I had a lot of complications from the 2 lumpectomies that I had previously. I had a LOT of tissue necrosis in my zombie side and a huge seroma in the good side. My drains stayed in for about 5 weeks--so painful. I had to sleep on my back with my head elevated for about 14 weeks, which was difficult for me; I'm a stomach sleeper, but that would have really damaged my already damaged wounds. It took about 16 weeks for my wounds to fully heal. Yeah. So much fun.

My experience is unusual, I think, and not directly due to the Goldilocks. Sometimes tissue death happens. Seromas happen frequently, with all kinds of surgeries, but especially breast and abdominal surgeries. Neither my BS nor PS have any explanation for why I've had such a hard time of it, other than "you're a nurse. Nurses have all the complications", which isn't true but sometimes it does feel like it, LOL.
