Well I have my biopsy on Thursday morning, my mammogram last Friday picked up architectural distortion so that's a pretty quick biopsy date. Relieved to have a date so quickly but now panicking that it will be bad news as they have got me in so quick! I am my own worst enemy! Anyone know roughly how long these results take to come back and also if they can give you some indication on how things look at the time of biopsy?

    Hey Olive it's me again:)

Had my biopsy just now and it wasn't bad. It was a core biopsy. They didn't tell me too much but said it doesn't look like anything bad. I guess we'll see. They put a microchip by the nodule so in the future it will always show up on mammograms and such. Don't worry that they got you in fast, the second place I called got me in quick too and I don't think it was because of what was on my report. I'll be thinking of you Thursday! Results typically take 2-3 days.

    Hey you again ☺

Glad to hear all went well. Do you feel more relieved now after they said they don't think it's anything bad?

I'm not so much scared for the biopsy just the results.

Just wondering how to keep everything from my kids as I am taking time off work as just not in a good place mentally and they will wonder why I am off.

Hope you get you results soon and wishing you great results.

Yes I feel better but I'm still pretty nervous. I don't think anything anyone says will take that away. What did help me was realizing that even if it is bc it's usually very treatable. I keep telling myself it's not a brain tumor or something really bad. I have to put it in perspective. In your case the fact that they don't see a tumor is a good sign.many things can cause distortions. Take breaks from thinking about it somehow. Tell your kids your sorry but your just crabby. I've been snapping a lot lately and my blood pressure was 140/97 today!

Hope you get good results soon. Will be thinking of you. Let us all know how you get on. Take positivity in the fact that it doesn't look anything bad. I know it will be hard to fully relax until the pathology results are in but hopefully that won't be too long.

I think the thing they are concerned about with me is the fact that my breasts are dense so they could obscure small masses although there are some benign calcifications there too.

I am just hoping I can get the biopsy done and get results next week and obviously hoping for great news so I can move on. I have been told I will need a breast surgeon even if the results are benign. Maybe because of the high risk of it hiding something or turning malignant at a later date. It so feels like a long journey even though it's not really been very long! I guess I am the impatient type!!

your not impatient, you just want to know what's going on and to get it taken care of benign or not. I feel the same! Let's hope for the best and yes get it all removed just incase it returns at a later date. I'm going to have mine removed and more even if it's benign. Hang in there!

Olive, thinking of you today. Hopefully the biopsy will be non-eventful. They typically are. Hang in there!

    Hi Marie,

Thanks for your words of support. It means a lot. I'm heading off soon. Not feeling too bad right now, just want it over with and wish they could give me some indication of what the results are today! As everyone has said it's the waiting that is the most stressful and the anxiety that goes with it is so hard to get through. I have been told results take 7-10 working days which seems a lifetime!! Trying to keep positive but it is hard with that 4C category hanging over me!! Thanks again.
