CT simulation

I have my CT simulation June 9th, do they do a CT scan just in the area they are going to radiate? I am freaking out they will find something else, I will probably take a Xanax before, not scare about the actual radiation, just the simulation CT sca

    Konakona.....It is always possible that a CT performed as part of simulation could turn up an undiagnosed abnormality. What is of most importance is that your radiologist notice it because there is some evidence that these are missed during simulation because the focus of the CT scan is for developing the treatment for breast cancer. I know this is a scary time, and if you need something for anxiety, take it, but make sure you confirm with your radiologist that there was nothing abnormal found during your simulation appointment. Then you can ease your mind.

    They do an Xray or CT scan to locate the surgical markers that your surgeon left, so they can locate/mark where to zap you with radiation.
