Need your help please , I'm stage IV

Hi

I am stage IV( recurrent) recently diagnosed with lung and bone mets,i have been on tamoxifen for 2 years since i had ER + PR+ and HER-2 equivocally positive My Oncologist's choice is Cisplatin+Gemcitabine . I am just a little reluctant because i have very rarely seen someone (infact no one) being treated with these chemo drugs , any suggestion? would this combination be appropriate?

    Hi Liz,

    I'm sorry that you have to deal with the mets, I wish I personally knew more about these drugs in order to be of more help. One thing did come to mind, which is perhaps there has been some recent data, results or preliminary results, that show that this combo of drugs is particularly effective. I hope that someone who is more familiar chimes in. Also, there is a stage IV forum that may be helpful, too.
