Laser Assisted Pulmonary Metastasectomy - 2 requests

Hi!

I am helping someone with HER2+ IDC. She was recently diagnosed (3/2016) with stage IV (10+ total lung nodules, but metastasis appears confined to lungs).

From the beginning with a tiny lump in 2010, she has been resistant to any treatment. (She eventually had a mastectomy, then did nothing until a recurrence, then eventually had a second surgery to remove affected armpit lymph nodes, adjuvant Xeloda and eventually Herceptin; generally speaking, all treatments came late and grudgingly). Fast-forwarding, she is willing to consider LAPM + neoadjuvant/adjuvant chemotherapy + targeted agent (Perjeta).

Pending a new PET/CT to confirm that the cancer is confined to the lung interior, LAPM could be a viable option, especially for someone who is taxane-averse. I've contacted Dr. George Ladas in London (trained by Axel Rolle, who pioneered modern LAPM) whom I've also reached out to) and will likely have consultations with one or both.

For now, though my friend would like to consult both an oncologist familiar with LAPM and at least one prior patient. (Edit: We are primarily looking for a remote consultation; she is in China but speaks English. And for the surgery proper, she is willing to travel. She is a former doctor herself and has a good medical network in China, but generally prefers to consult an oncologist outside of China, and in this case I think one who has familiarity with LAPM would be most ideal.) Any recommendations or help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks and best of luck to everyone reading this.
