traveling to Europe TE 8 weeks post-op

I am scheduled for MX left side this Friday. My research so far has been more focused on the surgical decisions and only recently have I been working on the ...and then aspects...
I am schedule to go to Europe 8 weeks post-op, will have TE in place and will be in the filling stage I assume. Both my BS and PS have said I will be fine to fly by then, but some of my reading in this area is making me think that might be overly optimistic.
It isn't just the flying, it is the travel itself, the pulling of your black rollaboard...is this one of those just because you can doesn't mean you should?
From others experience, will I have a sense of how I will go through this by 3-4 weeks post-op so I can make a final decision closer?
any thoughts on this are welcome.
(DCIS 2 lump with positive margins, now MX)
