anyone else have a diagnosis like mine? First tumor 1.5 cm in right breast, E+P+ and HER 2- during pre-surgery MRI a second mass was found, 4mm in left breast, biopsied and the pathology is the same. Had both removed along with sentienal nodes on Friday. Very sore and anxious to find others.. Doctors said between 5-8% of women present with both breasts. Called them sister tumors...

Anyone out there

Bump for Carone! Can anyone weigh in?

Also, Carone, you may want to post in our 2nd or 3rd Breast Cancer forum, as you technically had 2 breast cancers at the same time. We hope this helps!

    Hi Carone,

I had a somewhat similar diagnosis. DCIS found by mammogram in my right breast (ER+, PR+, HER -), between 1 and 2 cm. Scheduled a lumpectomy and during pre-surgical testing, 1 suspicious lump found in my left breast. Had the lumpectomy of the right along with a wide excisional biopsy of the left. The left turned out to be IDC 4 mm, same hormone status as the right. I then went for bilateral mastectomies, with SNB on both sides. Recently finished my 5 years on Arimidex and feeling good. Hang in there.

Thank you Kathy! We are similar. Rt breast 1.5 cm ER+PR+ and HER2-. Lt. breast 4mm same hormone receptors... I feel better just knowing there is one other person who faced the same thing. I am waiting for pathology report of SNB and the 2 margins and oncotype. That will dictate next steps.  I happy you are doing so well.

Thank you... I cannot express how good you made me feel...
