marking SN for later biopsy if needed

I am scheduled for L-MX next week and my surgeon is open to marking the SN without removing it...and if any invasive is found in final pathology -- I guess we go back for it.

I have had 2 lumpectomies with no invasive pathology but also not clear margins, thus the mastectomy now.

Has anyone had this "marker" procedure and then have to go back for them?

I am scheduled for reconstruction at the same time, how did that work?
