please help- I'm in the UK. My mum has just had biopsies taken. Results in a couple of days. She's 80. Not sure what happens next, what to ask on Monday when we go but I feel sick with worry. I believe there are more than on lump and also swelling under arm.

    Hi Matilda,

We're sure this is a very stressful time for you and your mom! We know it's hard not to worry, but there's still a very good chance that the biopsy can come back benign. Until you have more answers on Monday, try to stay positive!

If the results do come back as malignant, we'll all be here for you and your mom, helping you through. Please keep us posted on what you find out!

Matilda - Sorry that that you and your mom are frightened and waiting...the waiting is always the hardest, but breathe. Glad you found this site...read up

Try and stay focus on today and what you do know. Don't get ahead of yourself and run a race you don't need to run. Breathe!

The Breast Cancer Husband is a good read/resource on what to expect and what to ask...medical team...and your mother. She is very lucky to have you at her side.

Be sure and ask her what is most important on her mind today.

To prepare for Monday read info on the main site on diagnosis and what to ask. Ask her what are her concerns, is she comfortable with her team. Take a notebook to take notes or ask if you may record on phone.

Make your mom a folder to hold all her files. After each appointment ask for copies of all reports.

Very important...write down the names of key staff in each Drs office and be kind...honey will go a long way when you need them...so learn their names and always be kind for they are there to help your mom and you.

Take a walk, enjoy nature, listen to music, be thankful, and know that you can do this...you are not alone. Take your lead from your mom...she has been your rock now you be hers.

    In your pockets (((squeeze)))

I know it will sound strange but your Mum's age will help. Write a list of your questions, remember you do not need to make any decisions tomorrow, just get information
