has anyone had an mri with contrast. My first one was without contrast now I have a o do one with it. What does it envolve. Are there any side effects to the contrast. Thanks for any help

    Tychad an MRI with contrast is just like a MRI without it except they infuse something like iodine into your vein right before they do the MRI. The dye shows the path/speed of blood flow. Most people do not have a problem with the contrast and it has never bothered me. You just feel a little warmth as it goes through your blood stream which is not uncomfortable, just different.
