Hello, I haven't been able to find info on my question. I had chemo for breast ca. almost 8 years ago. My cycles completely stopped. I was declared post menopausal then. I suddenly started bleeding this week. Is this normal? Can your period return after 8 years? Thanks.

Any post menopausal bleeding should be checked out! That many years out it seems unusual for periods to start back. You should see your gynecologist or family practice dr about it.

    Thanks for the replies!

I am 43. I had breast cancer at 34. I have had a pelvic & TV ultrasound. I have had a polyp before but no bleeding I had a hysterscopy for that which was all negative. (3 yrs ago). I have an appointment this week with my GP. The funny thing is, the bleeding has followed the pattern that my cycles used to. (3 days bleeding. one day not, 2 days spotting), my face broke out a bit which it hasn't in years. Fingers crossed its nothing. Thanks again!
