What radioactive sources are used for radiation treatment?

Does anyone know what sources are used for the ordinary radiation treatment? Gammas? X-rays? What photon energy and for what application? What about electron beams? I guess if protons are used you have to be near a particle accelerator, which is possible only in a limited number of treatment centers.
