scans and question about nodes

I had complete exams done yesterday including MRI and Ct Scans. Everything looked good except that the doctor said that I had four highly abnormal lymph nodes, two of which are in my groin and two under my arms. I have had the ones on my groin for as long as I can remember. He said that they did not look malignant and that we would check them again in 2 months. I have no idea what highly abnormal lymph nodes are. Can anyone provide me any input? I did not get a chance to ask him because I was knocked out from the drugs for the MRI.
