edited May 2016 in Waiting for Test Results

I first went to the doctors for pain in my left breast she examined me and found a lump. The doctor referred me to the breast clinic at the hospital in which I waited six weeks for the appointment. I went to the clinic where the doctor examined me and decided to send me for a mammogram. Once I had the mammogram I was sent to the waiting room where a nurse came and told me that I needed to go for an ultrasound after the ultra sound was taken I was taken back in for another mammogram on my right breast as they could see calcifications. From there I went back to the breast clinic where I was told my mammograms and ultrasound look beign but they would like to take a core biopsy to be sure. I was then given an appointment for two weeks for my results. They day before going for results I received a phone call from the hospital asking if I could go in early for a vacuum biopsy as the other biopsies results were inconclusive. When I arrived at the clinic the next day I was told that the biopsy couldn't be done and would I be able to come back the following week. Not very happy and a bit shocked by the whole thing I agreed so went back yesterday and got the vacuum biopsy on the lump on my left breast after which the radiographer said I needed to go for another mammogram on my right breast as I have a few groups of microcalcifications. I have to go back on Thursday for my results and a decision on whether I need more biopsies. Feeling worried and emotional

    Scrap40-

We're so sorry for all the back and forth! It's scary, we know, but try to stay positive. The majority of lumps turn out to be benign. It's good that your doctors are being as thorough as they are! Please keep us posted on the results when you get them, we'll be thinking of you and hoping for a positive outcome!
