Tamoxifen: ovulating but no period, problem?

I am perimenopausal. On tamoxifen for 1.5 years. Have had 2 periods since starting. Recently had hormone levels checked. I was ovulating - and certainly felt like I was ovulating. Also had PMS symptoms; waited and waited for my period, but it did not come. I can't imagine this is good for the uterus. Is this why tamoxifen causes uterine problems? Waiting to hear from my gyn. Already scheduled for US in 3.5 months, want to move it up.

It is so frustrating not knowing which symptoms/problems are tamoxifen or the impending menopause...

Hopefully you've heard from your gynecologist by now. I think accumulation of unshed endometrial material could be a precursor to further problems so it's good to check things out. Did you have the ultrasound yet?

thanks for the reply. Gyno isn't convinced I ovulated, I have US scheduled in 3 months. She physically examined my uterus and said if I have any bleeding to call - seems like that would push up the US. One of my (many) docs said that the endometrium problems from tamox aren't super aggressive so I guess the 3 month wait should be OK - have had 2 US's already in the 17 months I have been on tamox. So I think I am being monitored well..
