DCIS in 2012 - now ADH in same area

I had a lumpectomy and 7 1/2 weeks of radiation for a small non-aggressive DCIS tumor in June of 2012. My last Mammogram (3 weeks ago) showed calcifications so I went in for a stereotactic biopsy. That biopsy showed damage from radiation and atypical cells (ADH) in the same area as my previous tumor. I met with a breast surgeon yesterday. He said I could monitor this, have an excisional biopsy or go as far as having a mastectomy...(this because the excisional biopsy would be to see if there is anything more sinister hiding out with the ADH cells). If there is anything more than the ADH, I would need a mastectomy since I've already been through radiation. I chose to have the biopsy done on June 3. This is a difficult period. My son is getting married June 18. I will either know I am okay or will need more work done. I have been trying to concentrate on a happy occasion and have no shared any news with him or his fiancee. My daughters and husband all know. I also have two vacations scheduled with my twin (one over this Memorial Day) and our annual two week driving trip (26 years) beginning a week after the wedding. The surgeon scared me a bit yesterday by quoting all sorts of numbers, percentages etc on how this could be another DCIS or invasive cancer etc. Has anyone else with DCIS gone through another scare with ADH cells?
