Last week of rads questions?

I have one more treatment, but I have pain in the breast that being treated, like someone is pulling down on it. it very tender if I rub against it and swollen. . I been getting the boost shots this week. The nipple area is a lot larger and darker then the untreated side, is all these se normal? and will they diminish it time. thank you i will be starting the tamoxifen following week.

    This all sounds like reasonable reactions to radiation. Don't be surprised if your breast gets worse in the next week even though you are finished. My areola became one large blister in the week after rads.

    Do ask for the RO to examine you, maybe before treatment tomorrow. Probably they'll have the nurse take a look, but if she is at all concerned, an RO will speedily appear. Chances are everything is completely normal, but there's only one way to be sure.

    Yes, it brings back uncomfortable memories. It's been almost a year for me. It takes a longwhile for the breast to return to almost pre-rads condition (color, size, texture). I recommend asking the nurse to look at it.
