Techniques that minimize scarring?

Doctors are now very sure I have cancer based on the tests, and I have decided on a double mastectomy with reconstruction during the same surgery.

I know there are different methods, and I am curious which ones have the least amount of scarring.

I am 31 with B/C cup breasts. Seeing a surgeon for a consult soon, but wanted to hear others experiences in terms of scarring.

Hey Elise,
My general surgeon has said that the latissimus dorsi can be done scarless on the back, so you only have scars on the front where the breast is, but I believe only certain plastic surgeons can do this. This is the option I am thinking of going with, I am 35 years old. I'm planning on having recon in a years time.

I hear the tummy one can be the worst as you develop a scar from one side of your stomach to the other and it's a good 10-20cm long.
