I am so tired of being achy and sore. Mostly in my legs. Now they are burning occasionally and just plain achy from thigh to calves (even from bottom of butt).. I walk a ton (I know that is what is recommended..exercise) for joint and muscle pain from Arimadex.) I take an extra strength aleve every morning.. any other tips out there? I've been on Arimadex for 2 plus years. Thanks!

Sue some things that have helped me are, Tumeric, stretching, and tart cherry juice. My side effects seem to come and go with the weather. Hopefully someone will have some other suggestions.

Yoga and stretching helped a lot, but what helped the most was orthotics for my shoes. I saw a podiatrist for an ingrown toenail. He noticed I had trouble walking. Checked out my feet and said I was having some arthritic changes and my arches were collapsing. Sold me a pair of orthotics ($50, not the custom ones) and the pain in my feet, legs and ankles has disappeared. I don't know if the foot problems were caused by arimidex, but I am feeling much better now. I also found that I can wear Birkenstock shoes and get the same support as the orthotic. The fitter said for my foot issues they are the perfect shoe, although they are not too pretty, lol.

I had read about Claritin and couldn't believe it but finally bit the bullet and tried it and it DOES ease some of the bone pain!! I have Fibromyalgia and horrendous arthritis so to get even MORE pain from Arimidex is just insult to injury. And I have to be on it for life. So try Claritin and let it build up in your system. I'm going to try finding just the active ingredient to see if that will work the same. Good luck!

    Hi all,

I was glad to see this thread. I have achy joints and random pain. Not sure if it's from Aromasin, Lipitor or what. I started on Arimidex but couldn't stand the pain so was switched to Aromasin almost 3 years ago. Lately the pain has just started up again. This happened after a very stressful event in my life. One of my providers thinks I have central sensitivity syndrome - sort of like Fibromyalgia I guess. It feels like arthritis, but I've been tested and it came back negative. I have osteoarthritis in one knee and a long history of pain in various areas. Also fatigue, depression, etc, etc. I've googled Fibro and CSS and it sounds like that profile fits me to a T. Yay. I feel like I finally have an answer, but there is no treatment per se. At least I know I'm not a hypochondriac.

Lately my feet have been hurting a lot. The soles of my feet burn and ache and the top of one hurts like heck. Warm weather seems to help. Like with the rest of it, the pain comes and goes. Even my tongue hurts. Freaky. I'm going to stop the Lipitor and see if I get any relief. I don't dare stop the Aromasin, but am curious as to whether or not the pain would go away, so I may consider a brief holiday at some point.

Debi, good shoes do make a difference when your feel hurt. I'm still searching for the perfect pair.

    Barbe, have you tried Cymbalta?

I can't afford Cymbalta . I tried it a number of years ago and got no relief and couldn't afford to stay on it to see if eventually it would work. Was costing me about $500 a month.
