Little red splotches on incision...

Options

About 6 months after my nipple recon I noticed three little reddish round splotches along my incision. I asked the PS PA what they were and she said they were little microscopic spider veins. They went away after a couple of weeks. Now they are back, and I'm wondering if she was wrong. Has anyone had this occur to them? I have another appointment with the PS in a couple weeks and thought I would watch and see what they do then ask when I go.

I did notice that the skin was very dry and flaking, so I've been putting Gold Bond body cream on it and that is resolved, but these concern me.

spider-like veins can happen as a side effect of radiation. Perhaps ask your RO about it.

Thanks KB - I see they are starting to lighten up again like they did last time. I had radiation on the inside of my chest area too as the RO said that some studies have found that sometimes those nodes get over looked and that is how it shows up in the surviving breast. Its a shorter incision and seems to me that there could be some stress on that area.
