Genentech Copay card

Has anyone used the Genentech Copay card for help with herceptin payments? I just got it online, but I don't know what to do with it to get money. How do I find out who to submit it to at my cancer center? Do you know what it covers? It is unclear to me from the card. Thanks for any information anyone has.

I used this for a portion of my Herceptin treatments. After applying online and receiving the card all I had to do was give the card to the billing office at my MO's office. They then took care of dealing with it. From what I understand is the MO's office bills the insurance company and then when they find out how much the patients portion of the cost will be they submit that cost to Genentech. I had no problems getting it covered this way. Good luck!

SpecialK - can you please PM Me also? I have one - and I just found out today our insurance changed how it works (with no company meeting to go over changes, just SURPRISE, here's a giant bill).

ThePrincess - I didn't PM the OP with any instructions or information, but rather with the name of another member that I think also used a card, and I suggested that she PM that member with the question. It might be better to see if the OP gets more info and then will hopefully post the answers here for other members to read. I am thinking the post above outlines how this card works. I had a similar one for Prolia injections I get every six months but I ended up not needing it as insurance covered. Bummer on the insurance :

My infusion center's billing office got me approved for the discount card. They submitted the Herceptin bill to insurance to see how much they would pay. Then the remaining amount they submitted to Genentech to pay. I can't remember exactly how much they covered but I believe the max out of pocket was $100 per infusion. Your billing office should be able to help you with it.
