Sudden Physical Change and Pain Prior to Surgery

I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with IDC which was found via mammogram. The mass is 7.5cm, the size of an orange. I never noticed any changes before dx up until yesterday. The shape has changed, I'm swollen on the outside of my breast, under my armpit as well as a lot of pain in my breast, armpit and under my arm. The pain started Tuesday. Has anyone else had these sudden physical changes and pain

In case it is related to a recent biopsy procedure and you might need to be seen, please check your temperature and then call the place where you were biopsied and/or breast surgeon to report the changes.

Hi Barred Owl,

My biopsy was 2.5 wks ago so I don't think that's the problem. I have a call in to my surgeon and am anxious to hear back from him.
