Lymph vascular invasion present on pathology report

I was diagnosed after Easter for BC and I am triple positive. My tumor was 1.4 cm and no lymph nodes affected after the lumpectomy. The diagnosis is stage 1, grade 3. The pathology report did show lymph vascular invasion present and I am now worried. I will start chemo beginning of May. Just wondering, how many of you had LVI present on your pathology report and did you have a reoccurrence? And, how do I know it has not metastasis?

Hi Paisienmom, I am sorry you have to be here. I am not a medical professional but I read that lymph nodes status is much more important than LVI. Many women have LVI present on the path report and oncologists do not usually focus on LVI. It appears you will be having chemo anyway, it should take care of LVI.

I had some minor LVI on my report as well and was told that it didn't make a difference in terms of prognosis

Thank you. When I had a biopsy, my grade was 2 but the pathology report showed LVI and my oncologist upgraded to a grad 3. Just nervous because of the triple positives
