what to expect after stopping tamoxifen in older women

my mom, 84, stopped taking tamoxifen which she had been on for 5years. she's cancer free but they found a blood clot in her heart which was treated. her doctor oked her decision to stop tamoxifen since it was causing her blood to clot. what to expect now? what are the tamoxifen withdrawal symptoms? should she continue with blood thinning meds?
