I have been very grumpy and foggy, finished treatments the 9th of March. I am on Femara. I feel nothing like my old self and don't know if it is me, the breast cancer or the medicine...

linnyhou, not sure what kind of TX's you had since there is nothing in your signature line, but it can take a while to get back to your old self, for sure! You've been through a very traumatic event and sometimes it can take several months or longer to start feeling "normal" again. Hang in there!

linnyhou....so sorry you are not feeling yourself. I agree with keep the faith thats its still very soon after treatment and it may take a while. However you should be aware that both personality changes and mental fogginess can be a SE of the anti hormones. Sometimes switching to a different one can help. Talk to your MO about it. Good luck to you...

    linnyhou,

Your grumpiness and mental fogginess could be the result of the Femara. I would definitely talk to your MO about how you feel. I'm also on an AI (Aromasin), and it made me feel really moody. My MO prescribed me Celexa, and I feel much better.

Hope you figure it out soon!

Thank you sooo much. I actually thought there was something wrong mentally and if I couldn't get past this how would I recover. I try to stay out of myself but am very sensitive to medications. If tiredness, grumpiness, fast heartbeat, stomach ache are partly related to Femara I will change. Thank you
