Waiting on the 32 gene cancer panel

I had my blood drawn on 4/20, the genetic counselor said 4 to 5 weeks, but the lady drawing my blood said she bets that I hear in about two weeks. I was very much wanting this test, due to being already high risk for BC and a bunch of GI cancers in the family, but not expecting how much anxiety I'd be having right now!

Suki, may I suggest something? If you are amenable to this, consider asking your doctor for something for anxiety. I completely understand how overwhelming this is and I was more than happy to have a little something to help me manage my anxiety. I didn't have to use it much, just sporadically during the day. I needed it more at night, and eventually, she just started me on a sleeping med because that's when I needed it more. It has worked out well for me. When I get adequate, restful sleep I am better able to cope with difficulties. When my anxiety is calmed, I make better decisions and have more energy for my family. Think about it...

Hi, sorry just saw this! I'm STILL waiting for the results, which I was sure I'd have by now. I have heart issues, and I have ativan that I take for procedures or when I have dental work done to calm me and my heart. I have been taking the ativan as prescribed by my doctor, and it's helping me a bit with the anxiety! I'm thinking I will hear something this coming week, I hope!

It was genedx. I got results yesterday, I have PALB2, ATM and P-ten.
