Hi Everyone!

I had my 1st TRAM reconstruction surgery in 2012 then 6 months later I had another. The TRAM for me is nothing I expected. But then again the doctor was building my breast from scratch.....I never had any other surgeries since then nor will I.

I recently had a scare in the same breast I had cancer. Now when I was diagnosed I had a bilateral radical mastectomy. Since this scare which came out negative yay! I've been contemplating having my breast removed & going back to expanders. I'm afraid my own tissue could come back to haunt me. Yes I'm sure I sound ridiculous but I have an 8 year old son to think about & me being able to see him grow up. I didn't get informed properly about the down falls of a TRAM etc.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi Ally, I had a tram in 2012 and I just went with the info I had at the time. Never thought about expanders now. I really just wanted it to all go away, with that said I am feeling better. So far no scares. As for now I am gong to live with it but let me known what you are going to OK. Prayers and ((((hugs)))
