Nausea and acidity

My wife who was diagnosed with liver mets in October-15had 6 cycles of carboplatin & Gemzar and had a PETCT after 3 cycles which showed Complete Metabolic Response .Her MO has put her on Femara since last 15 days .she doesn't experience any Major SE till now except Nausea and acidity which is quiet disturbing .The Mo has Rx Gelusil -4 times a day to counteract acidity. Can this Nausea be a late side effect of Chemo or could it be Femara or few other medicine she is taking or could Nausea bedue to Liver ??? Plz share your experience and guide

I am having the same issue with Arimidex which is similar to Femara. It reduces the estrogen in our bodies. I did fine for the first couple of weeks and then the issues with my stomach started. I was given Metoclopramide for the nausea and told to go off the Arimidex for 2 weeks and then start it again. I had just started radiation for a recurrence and everyone thought the zaps were hitting part of my stomach it was so bad! I'm scared to go back on the Arimidex again and was going to consider Femara, but now I guess it might not make a difference.

I'm going to follow this post to see what others have to say. Give your wife a hug from me to her. Nausea can be from the liver so I hope you told her MO. My RO had me get another brain scan in case my nausea was from mets to my brain. Don't want to scare you, but at this point you have to consider all the causes.
