I went last wendsday for my mammogram and ultrasound results. Is it normal to have to wait for results this long? I'm so scared cuz I had a mammogram that was abnormal back on 2003. Been trying to stay busy but the waiting in wearing me out. The what's ifs keep going through my head.

It normally takes me about two weeks to get my mammogram results. I have only had one ultrasound due to an abnormality, they told me during that I would need a biopsy. Hope that helps! Waiting is the pits!

    Hi Tallygurl1973

I've been waiting 4 weeks due to admin error. But Khwit is right 2 weeks is the norm.

    Hang in there.

    Wish you all the best.

The imaging center in my town is awesome! I wait two days and then go and ask for the "written report" for the imaging I had on whatever day. I show a picture I.D. and they run a copy off and then I know before I hear from the doctors. Also, I like these reports for my own files at home. I am also able to do this, not only for mammograms, but for CT scans, pet scans...whatever I have done at the Imaging Center. Maybe all imaging centers are the same. You could certainly check it out and then you don't have to play the waiting game.

I think I am spoiled. After 2-3 days I can log in to my patient portal and see the report online. Short of that I'm sure I would be showing up at the imaging center like "biscuits" wrote about.

I have a benign looking mass and area of thickening. To keep an eye on.
