Eye mets?? Anyone have experience?

My mother is currently at the hospital because her eye lid and the area above the lid has been swollen and pink for a couple of days. We went in to the ER yesterday worried about infection but her blood work was all fine so the the doctor asked her to return this morning just to make sure it's not getting worse. Well, she just called to say the doctor on duty looked into her eye and sees something there and now is waiting on a specialist to take a look. He's worried it's cancer.

Does anyone have experience with eye mets? She just got clear scans a few days ago and is going on a chemo break. She hasn't had any vision problems, just this swelling of the lid. She has however mentioned forehead pain on the same side when she touches. She's terrified and wondering how likely it is that this could be mets.
