Pet Scan Contrast =>> Flu Symptoms?

I've felt like I had the flu every day since I had my Pet Scan last Wednesday. I am trying to track down the source of this new side effect and/or illness. The symptoms are primarily fatigue/exhaustion. Do I have the flu? Do I have allergies?

I've completed two cycles of Ibrance, but I was just coming off my week off. I haven't had this side effect, or much of any SE from Ibrance. It doesn't seem like I can blame it on the Ibrance.

Allergies sometimes feel this way, but I don't have any other significant allergy symptoms, and I am taking allergy shots.

That leaves the Pet Scan contrast, which I heard can have a delayed flu like side effect, or .... the flu? In April?

Has anyone had flu like symptoms from Pet/CT Scan contrast .... that lasted 5 days?

Of course, I have cancer ... but my symptoms have been primarily from the treatment.

Any ideas welcome.

No reactions to the PET scan injection for me. I've had multiple PETs and the radioactive sugar solution has never given me any symptoms.

There is the radioactive glucose injection for a PET (mentioned by Kessala), and there is the contrast for a CT. Two different things, so which are you wondering about, zarovka? I have only had the FDG glucose with my PET-CT, no contrast, and haven't noticed any effects. I have not had a CT with contrast.

It would be the contrast with iodine that might cause a reaction. Doesn't seem common.

Exhausted since Wednesday. Oof. Not sure why.

Turned out to be a vitamin B deficiency triggered by one of my supplements, Alpha Lipoic Acid.

So many medications, so many side effects.
