Last Chemo Next Week - freaking out a little

Hey guys, I just found this site this morning and it has been a tremendous help. Wish I found it earlier when I started chemo, but searching for anything 'breast cancer' or 'triple negative' related is kind of depressing so I rarely do it.;)

My last chemo is scheduled for this Friday and I'm really really nervous about it. I was diagnosed with triple negative IDC last December and have been doing dose dense AC+T since January. I'm scheduled for surgery and radiation after this. I don't know why I'm so nervous, especially since taxol has really kicked my butt lol, but since surgery will ultimately show the pathology report, I just want this cancer stuff to be over.

Is it normal to not want chemo to end, just to mentally know that those chemicals kill cancer cells and you won't get any more? My lump has reduced to nothing though from 4.1cm (can't feel it at all now) so I'm so hoping that is a good sign for me.

omt, I just lost my post. Just briefly as I am going to sleep soon. It's ok to have the fear you have. I didn't have adjuvant chemo so I haven't had your experience. Sounds like a very, very good result has been produced through the adjuvant chemo. You are fortunate to have been able to have this procedure. Others will post here and I'm sure they will be very reassuring.

    Take care.

    Liz
