Vertebral Compression Fracture before radiation

I am starting radiation therapy today. I was not comfortable during the simulation because my back goes into spasm when I lay flat on a firm surface. My Pcp has ordered an antispasmodic to be taken a half-hour prior to treatment. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced back spasms during treatment? Thanks
