Anyone ever experience nose.bleeds while on taxol

Today I ended up in the emergency room due to a severe nose bleed.I do have some sinus issues but the emergency room Dr thinks it was mostly caused from the chemo I was basically hemorrhaging and was also pulling out clots from my throat it was so gross even the Dr said so.so they packed my nose,for 24 hours so hopefully it works went through 2 rolls of paper towels. Just curious to know if anyone else has,experienced anything like this on taxol my husband wants me to take a break from all meds but I don't know it is like you are dammed if you are and dammed if your not.

Sorry about the hemorrhagic nosebleed. I had them often, but not to that degree....yikes! I don't think they're taxol specific, but rather a symptom of low platelets that can accompany any chemo that lowers our blood counts. Were your platelets low at last count? I might ask for another quick count to make sure you're not anemic after losing so much blood, too. I sure hope it doesn't happen to you again. It sounds awful. I'd be puking if I had clots in my throat. You were brave, I must say. Hugs.

Yes, nosebleeds are a common side effect of Taxol and I had them the first few times but it sounds like you got a whopper! I hope you don't have this again, yucko.

I had them often on Taxol but never to the level you have. It sounds awful. They eventually stopped although I'm not sure how many cycles it took. I've been on taxol for 2.5 years and can't really remember how it all went down in the early days just that they stopped.

I had nosebleeds also on taxol but not like yours. I used saline nose spray and ran a cool mist humidifier. Was told taxol dries out nasal cavities.
