Reactive Lymph Node and Very Lumpy Breast/Chest
Hi everyone,
I'm posting his here as advised by one of our members BarredOwl. Here goes my story:
I'm a 28 year old male who is having problems with his breast/chest area. I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid, however, I am worried since I have a history of trauma right under my nipple when I was younger. More than 14 years ago, I slipped and the area right below my left nipple hit a corner of a table. Mind you, the pain was unbearable for minutes after the impact but decided to not do anything about it since I don't want my classmates knowing I did something stupid.
Every since then I would feel discomfort or a feeling that something is stuck on the bottom area of my left breast whenever I move.
6 months ago, there a tender area the area, almost in the ribs, so I visited a general surgeon. He laughed and said it is nothing but sent me for x-ray anyways. Nothing in the x-ray was found.
After one month (from the first x-ray), the area started hurting again and I also started to feel lumps - just not on the lower part of the nipple but the upper left side of my chest (1 o'clock area) so I visited another general surgeon. This surgeon felt the lump so he sent me for x-ray and ultrasound. The ultrasound came clear that time and nothing was found. He said he cannot push for more tests as there was nothing found.
After a month again, the ache / discomfort became constant and even radiating to my left arm sometimes (until the elbow part.) So I visited another surgeon in a different hospital. He sent me for ultrasound in chest + axilla. No lumps were found in the chest but the the radiologist reported "small reactive node, mostly benign" in the axilla. The general surgeon said there is nothing to worry about and sent me on my way.
A month ago (from now), I visited another doctor general surgeon in a better hospital since now my whole breast / chest area is lumpy. He sent me for another x-ray. Nothing showed in x-ray but in the ultrasound, the radiologist reported "reactive benign lymphnode" in axilla. The report also says that there is a thickening of subcutaneous fat in the armpit. Now, the doctor said there is nothing and he cannot do any further tests...
I would like to know what I can do in this case. The lumps are there but I cannot get a proper diagnosis, nothing, just that "we cannot see anything and there is nothing else to do." Just to note, ever since this whole thing started I also started feeling weak / tired everyday even just after waking up.
My nipples also started having hair in it (pimple with hair in the end) since this whole thing start which is very weird because my body doensn't have any hair. Heck, I can't even grow a goatie.
Sorry for the long post and thank you for reading.
Update:
I just visited another Surgeon (Vascular) he paid no attention to my fatigue, did physical examination and these are his comments:
-If he looks at my chest, my left chest/breast is a little bigger than my right. He said this is the reason the ultrasound returned "increased subcutaneous fat" in axilla area.
-He said he felt nothing out of the ordinary and the lumps I feel are normal breast fat.
-I saw him write in my file "increased blah blah in left area" and also "no gynecomastia present"
I'm not sure what to do now...

Ask for a lumpetomy and stop screwing around. Try a female doctor. They are way more experienced with BC than male Drs
