Anyone find a pancreatic lesion during CT Scan?

Before I began treatment a CT scan was ordered where an 8mm lesion was discovered. Report states "most likely cystic in nature". So, of course I need a follow-up MRI. And, of course I'm concerned. Reading through old topics I came across several women who responded that they had the same situation. None of these women are posting now. I'm wondering if anyone now is experiencing or has experienced one of these lesions/cysts. From what I've read and been told, this type of incidental finding is very common and chances are it's nothing. But, that's what I was told about my TNBC tumor

    Hi Cathtwo,

I have not been on the board for a while. I came on tonight because I finished TC chemo a week ago today and today got a call to schedule a follow up MRI for yes you guessed it a cystic like thing on my liver they found before chemo. I am nervous about it but I can't believe they would even consider starting us on chemo treatments if they had any suspicion that it was a cancer. Interested in knowing if others had same experience too. Message me and tell me how you are doing. You gave me some good advice when all this started.

    My Best Wishes

    Sharon

I've had cystic lesions on my liver and my kidney. I think they are pretty common. I've had follow ups and they don't seem to change.

Just saw your post. My CT showed 2 lesions on my lung and one on my liver. I am told they may or may not be cysts and we won't really know until I am done with chemo and they do a followup CT. If they are still there, then they are cysts, if they are gone, it was cancerous but the chemo took care of it.

786tx...I've read that these incidental findings are very common because the scanning is so technically advanced. My MO said this BC Chemo would have no effect on any other cancer except BC. If that is true, and your cysts disappear, it would probably be because the cysts resolved themselves and disappeared ... but, not because cause of the chemo we are doing now. Also, a follow up scan will be more likely to determine whether the lesions are truly cysts. Whatever the case, we will need annual screenings.
