MRI side effects (nauseous and dizzy)

I had bc treatment 5 years ago and am currently doing some testing on a small mass in my other breast. The mass can only be seen with MRI (not on mammogram or ultrasound). I had another mammogram today so the mass could be biopsied. I've had several MRIs before with no issue, but today's was pretty rough. The biopsy itself was fine and not very painful. I'm not claustrophobic and I wasn't overly anxious about getting this procedure done. But, When they slid me into the machine I felt like the room was spinning (even before machine was taking any pics). As the scan went on I got increasingly nauseous and woozy and a bit dizzy. Not sure if this was from the contrast dye (which has never been a problem before), motion sickness from being put in and out of the machine about 5 times, or from the magnet. I lifted my head so I could look at a stationary object while I was being slid in and out which helped a little bit but of course then moved my breast a little which isn't great. It's 3 hours later and I still feel queasy and woozy.

Anybody else have side effects from an MRI?

I have never heard of this but it seems like it could be any of the things you mentioned that caused it. But by the way you described repositioning yourself to get relief it seems maybe it could have been motion sickness related? Can't hurt to mention it to the doctor though because I'm sure that's not something you want to experience again!

I have actually had motion sickness from just watching a laparoscopic procedure which presented with the same symptoms you describe. So seems like it could be a possibility.
