I just started the Faslodex/Ibrance combo. So far, minimal side effects. But it's still early!

just be doing the med. How long you been taking it? Also do you have to do blood work every

    week? Thanks for your help

After Faslodex stopped being effective for me (two years) I switched to the Ibrance plus femara/ letrozole combo. Read the thread on Ibrance; it's extremely helpful! I got blood work done weekly at first so they could see how my white blood cells were doing, and then we switched to every other week. The side effects I had were nose sores and mouth sores and fatigue. Unfortunately Ibrance was not effective for me so I had to move on to the next treatment. Wishing you the best with it!

Thanks for the information. How long where you on Ibrance? What was your next treatment? How many weeks did you have to go til you switch to every other week for blood work? Not looking forward to blood work. I have very small veins.Hard to get.

I was on Ibrance for 4 cycles. My next treatment was xeloda and that only lasted me 4 cycles as well. I think for the first month I went for weekly blood work, and then the second month did every other week, and by the third did it after finishing the cycle. You're right, it's no fun when you've got small veins! Drink lots of water before you get your blood work done! Good luck! I hope this works well for you for a long time!
