tonight mom's neighbor asked for help with her internet stuff.. Then asked for update on my current health situation. I lied, knowing she'll be speading the news to the block by hmm tomorrow :) told her I was actually healed and the treatment is for preventive purposes only.

Having announced my 11-year old ds currently, I don't want people chattering about me around him.

People are mostly idiots.. My conclusion after almost 4,5 years with MBC.

    Hugs

    Ebr

Yes, that's for sure Ebru...I bought a new car yesterday, much needed for safe and more comfortable traveling. My neighbors could not pick their jaws up of the driveway wondering what I, a Stage iv person, is thinking????? Not even one speck of excitement for me, one word of congrats! Just shaking their heads. I'm going to drive that sucker until the fenders fall off!

Stagefree, I agree. Mostly idiots and very insensitive.

Artistatheart, so you joined in on a new car. Congratulations that's awesome. I hope we all drive them till the fenders fall off, lol. What did you get?

Another awesome thread. I'm definitely not alone!

My other half and I were planning on a little ceremony/celebration after making "legal" our 13 year partnership this summer but I'm not sure if I can handle the looks, the pitty from the few that know, e.g. in laws.

I may just join you in the new car club, I'm still driving my car from college and could use something more comfortable and reliable, specially now that I'm driving myself to weekly treatments and stuck in Atlanta traffic.

Sending positive thoughts and love your way, awesome ladies.

Gramen, I think you should have your celebration and enjoy every moment of it. Try to ignore the in laws, they are idiots remember? My philosophy, live in the moment, none of us is promised tomorrow. And do join in on the new car club, and chuckle at the looks you get. Wishing you and everyone nothing but the best.

Yes Gramen, If anything people should view your union with your partner as a sacred testament to the beauty of life. Celebrate HUGE and let the happiness wash over you! Congratulations! Kandy I got a GMC Acadia 2013 but it is like new. It has cream leather seats and what I call "champagne" colored paint. The sound system is awesome, (as music is my passion). All the nice safety and convenience features the newer cars have. I am pretty excited, and it takes a lot to get me excited these days. Think I will go for a drive right now! LOL! Actually we are driving down to Santa Barbara soon to see my 2 DD's! Live as much as we can in the moment!

Awesome Artistatheart, I am so happy for you. Your neighbors are prunes, lol. Just smile and wave at them. I agree with you, very few things make me excited too. But when I get in my car and put the top down, I feel as free as a bird. At this point we all should be totally enjoying whatever it is that brings pleasure. Best wishes.

Congratulations on the new cars and the weddings!

I did both the year I was diagnosed. Truth be told with my repaired back I couldn't drive my old car and we'd gotten engaged before the diagnosis, but still. . .

I plan for my car to fall apart before I do. It's three years old now; one quarter of the way there!
