An interesting and helpful paper from 2014. I am recently diagnosed with LCIS and have my MRI scheduled for Monday. Given the thickening feeling I have noticed in my left breast, I suspect more will be discovered by MRI. I found the paper very helpful. Will also post in the LCIS board.

JohnSmith - Thank you for that paper. Question for the board: Has anyone had their LCIS genetically evaluated prior to treatment? Right now, I have a pathology report with little information. Do pathology reports after lumpectomy or surgery have more info than core needle biopsy?

Also, do you guys send papers like this to your MO and get anywhere? Or do they just roll their eyes? So far I have had a good experience with my MO, but we just started this process.

My excisional biopsy path report was very "spare." Others here had path reports with ER/PR recepters & HER2 info. They also specified pleomorphic, etc
